WITH ALL THAT IS HAPPENING in the world (political
uncertainty, economic instability, natural disasters, and change in morals) we
are faced with the fact that our world is on a collision course with monumental
disaster. The question that demands an answer is: "Are we living in
the end times?"
What does the Bible say? Are we living in the end times?
The first voice we have concerning the end times in the New Testament is
Jesus'. He began his public ministry preaching:
The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and
believe the gospel." (Mark 1:15)
What did he mean? Jesus made it clear that the end of the world had now come,
God's kingdom is ready to be revealed, and it is time to prepare through
repentance and belief in the message he preached.
The author of Hebrews also wrote:
"God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the

Peter also wrote that the last of the last days was close at hand:
"But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto
prayer." (1 Peter 4:7)
The Apostle John wrote to his people that it is the last time and in
these times a proliferation of Antichrists would rise up, confirming our
entrance into the end times:
"Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist
shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the
last time." (1 John 2:18)
The witness of Scripture is that, Yes! we are living in the end times and have
been for over 2,000 years since the day that Jesus the Messiah appeared in a
When we ask, "Are we living in the end times?," the question by most is, "Are we
living in the last days of the end times.?"
We will look at this question in lesson two.
Hold fast till Christ returns!
